Race Information

Race CategorieS

 

At the start of the race, participants will be given a race map with marked control points across the island. Runners should then plan their running route to cross all control points in the fastest time and return to the start point.

Participation

 

Solo

Team (2-6 pax)*

* Only the team leader will receive a timing chip. The team will be timed as one and there is no individual timing provided for each team member.

HYDRATION

 

All participants MUST carry hydration (water, isotonic drink or other fluids) in form of a hydration belt, bag or bottle throughout the race. Participants can replenish their fluids at designated Water Stations. Water and isotonic drinks will be provided at the Water Stations. The Water Stations are approximately 5-7km apart; this may be longer depending on the route you choose. Participants are advised to plan their route and their water requirements carefully.

Participants who pre-registered in 2015 can enjoy the promotional discount up till 30 April 2016. Prevailing registration rates will apply on 1 May 2016 onwards. Distances indicated are estimates. Participants may take a longer or shorter route on the actual day. Participants of the Solo event has to be 14 years and above (on race day). Parental consent is required for all participants below 18 years of age.

Runner's Entitlement

All participants will receive a Runner’s T-shirt worth $49.90

 

First 2,500 registrants will receive an exclusive On Aluminium Water Bottle worth $19.90

 

A finisher medal will be given to participants who cross all control points successfully at the finishing point.

Race entry pack Collection
Date : 16 - 17 July 2016 (Sat & Sun) Venue : Marina Square Time : 11am - 7pm Collection of Race Entry Pack It is mandatory for all participants to collect their Race Entry Packs on the dates stated above. Participants will need to bring along their NRIC or Photo ID for verification purposes when collecting their race entry packs. The Organiser reserves the right to refuse any participant who do not produce the required ID. For Participants Who Are Unable to Collect In Person: You may authorize a representative to collect the race entry pack on your behalf if you are unable to do so. Your representative will need to produce the following documents in order to collect on your behalf: • A copy of the runner's identification card • Your representative’s identification card Foreign participants: Travelling from overseas for the race? We recommend that you authorize someone to collect it for you at the stipulated dates above. Otherwise, separate collection arrangements will be made for you. Rules and regulations
General Whilst every reasonable precaution will be taken by the Organiser to ensure the Participants' safety, the Organiser, their Sponsors, and their appointed Officials shall not be liable for any death or injury, loss or damage, suffered or otherwise, howsoever arising. Completion of the entry form confirms the Participants' agreement to abide by the Rules & Regulations of Singapore City Race 2016. The Organiser reserves the right to delay the commencement of the run in the event of inclement weather Should the inclement weather persist after the delay, the Organiser reserves the right to cancel the race without refund of registration fees. The Organiser reserves the right to remove any participant deemed physically incapable of continuing with the run to prevent him/her from causing greater harm and injury to himself/herself. The Organiser reserves the right to use any photographs (including those of Participants), motion pictures, recordings, or any other media records of the Singapore City Race 2016 for any publicity purpose. The Organiser reserves the right to amend the Rules and Regulations without giving prior notification or any reasons thereof. Registration The Organiser reserves the right to limit and refuse entries without assigning any reasons thereof. Participants who withdraw from the race before 23:59hrs on 30 June 2016 will enjoy a 50% refund of the paid registration fees. Refund will be made via cheque. Withdrawal notifications must be in writing to info@singaporecityrace.com. Telephone and verbal notifications will not be accepted. Withdrawal after 30 June 2016 will not be accepted and no refund of registration fees paid. Participants who decide to downgrade their category (i.e. change of category to one of lower value) must do so before 23:59 hrs on 30 June 2016. No refunds will be made for the difference in pricing. All requests for change must be in writing to info@singaporecityrace.com. An administrative fee of $15 shall apply. Telephone and verbal notifications will not be accepted. Participants who wish to upgrade their category (i.e. change of category to one of higher value) must do so before 30 June 2016. All participants below 18 years of age need to complete the indemnity form and seek parental or guardian consent before participating in the event. Participants are strictly not allowed to transfer their race entries to another party or change race categories after their registrations are confirmed. Race Entry Pack Collection All participants must collect their Race Entry Packs which include the Race Bib, Timing Device (disposable), Event T-shirt, and other sponsored products during the Race Entry Pack Collection period. If participants are unable to collect their Race Entry Pack in person, they may authorise a representative in accordance with the procedure detailed on the Official Website. Late collection will not be entertained and the Organiser shall not be liable for any other loss or inconvenience caused, due to participants' inability to collect their Race Entry Packs. Participants must wear their allocated bib number at all times during the race. Runners without the allocated bib number will not be allowed to take part in the race. Participants, who commence before the actual start time of the race category for which they registered for, will be disqualified. The start time for the respective race categories can be found on the Official Website. Participants who do not start within 15 minutes from respective flag off will be disqualified and for safety reason, may not be allowed to start. The Organiser reserves the right to cancel or postpone the race without any prior notification, in which case, the registration fees are non-refundable. Participants must run on the designated path for the entire route. Failure to do so may result in disqualification. No pets, or any form of wheel-run objects of transport e.g. inline skates, prams, push cars, shoes with built-in or attached rollers is allowed on the course during the race except official race and medical vehicles. For prize winners or possible prize winners, appeals over disputes must be made on-site in person, in a written format and an appeal fee of $50, within 30 minutes of the published results on the results notice board on-site or immediately after the prize presentation, whichever is earlier. Medical & Safety Participants are strongly encouraged to go for a medical examination and/ or consult their medical practitioner prior to registration and before the actual race day. For the safety of participants, runners are advised to run on the designated path throughout the entire route.

How can I register?

How do I know if my entry has been accepted?

You will receive an email confirmation slip upon your successful registration. Registered participants can also retrieve their confirmation slip on the website.

 

Do I get a refund if I choose not to participate after registration?

Yes. You can make changes to your particulars by sending us an email to info@singaporecityrace.com. An administrative fee of $15 will apply.

 

Can I transfer my race registration if I wish to withdraw from the race?

All race registrations are strictly non-transferable.

 

Is GST included in the registration fee?

Yes. Registration fee is inclusive of 7% GST.

 

Is there an age limit to the participate in the race?

All participants below 18  years of age need to complete the indemnity form and seek parental or guardian consent before participating in the event.

When is the Singapore City Race 2016?

The Singapore City Race 2016  will be held on 30 July 2016 (Saturday), 7.00am.

 

Where will the race be held?

The race will start at Marina Square.

 

How many Race Categories are there?

Will I get race timing?

All competitive runners will get their race timing.

Runners must wear their shoe tag as instructed to ensure that their timing will be captured.

Ranking and winners will be determined by the NETT TIME.

 

Is there a baggage deposit at the start point?

No. Participants are advised to travel light.

 

Is there a cut-off time for the race?

Yes. The cut-off time for all categories is at 4.00PM.

 

Can I skate or cycle during the race?

No.

 

Will there be an official photographer?

Yes. Photography and/or videography will be taken during the event for news and publicity purposes by the official photographer and/or videographer, and may be used for print and on online/electronic platforms of Pink Apple Pte Ltd. Pink Apple Pte Ltd owns all rights to the photographs and video recordings.

 

If you do not wish to have any photographs or video recordings taken of you, please inform the Organiser at the event site.

 

What if I am injured during the race or otherwise unable to finish the race?

Please approach the nearest first aiders deployed along the route. Participants who require immediate medical attention may alert the route marshals.

 

Will I get a certificate after the race?

No.

 

Can I run bare-foot?

No.
